I'm a Texas-born, Michigan-raised, California-transplant based out of Silicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m a Triton alumna of UC San Diego, where the waves of beautiful La Jolla awakened my deep connection to the Pacific Ocean; five generations of my family heritage served as naval admirals defending the Taiwan Strait and East China Sea. I'm the firstborn daughter of Taiwanese-American immigrants who came to this land of opportunity over three decades ago by way of southern Illinois. My father and mother served America as public servants to retirement, and I'm grateful every day for the sacrifices my parents made to establish a new life in the United States so that my brother and I would have the privilege to build upon their legacy, as a bicultural generation in a new way forward.
